Rack Caddy Fit Guide

Will Rack Caddy Fit Your Ladders & Your Vehicle?

Ladder Fit

We designed the rack to hold 2 ladders. We recommend using a 24- or 27-foot ladder stored closest to the vehicle, and a 17 foot ladder on the outside of the rack for easy access. With this combination you will be able to access most all residential roofs. The arm that holds the ladders is 18.75 inches, which is designed to fit most all combinations of multi-position ladders. Examples of ladders that fit- Little Giant, Warner, Gorilla. Both ladders do not have to be the same brand. Rack Caddy is not designed to haul Step ladders, or Extension ladders. Rack caddy is made with heavy duty steel and is designed to carry 2 heavy duty ladders.

Vehicle Fit

Our ladder rack will fit in all 2-inch receiver hitches on all vehicles. The bottom of the ladders rest about the same height as the receiver hitch. Rack caddy works great on trucks, cars and SUVs with receiver hitches. Don’t worry, if your vehicle does not have a receiver hitch you can buy receiver hitches for most all vehicles.  We recommend your receiver hitch sets 10 inches off the ground.
