The Vehicle Ladder Rack Solution

About Rack Caddy

How We Started

It all started back in 2003 when I was at a claims conference in Tulsa Oklahoma. It had a door drawing for a Little Giant ladder. I won that door drawing and started using that ladder in 2004. I had a small SUV I worked out of, and I hauled that ladder in and out of the back of the hatch of the SUV.

As I progressed in my career and was working more and more claims, my back began hurting pretty badly. It made me start to think about ways to make the adjusting process easier on my body. I thought, "Boy, it would be nice to have a rack on the back of this SUV to save my back." That is when I decided to make my very first version of the Rack Caddy. My colleagues have seen me use ladder racks throughout the years and have started utilizing the Rack Caddy themselves.

It is a great time saver to just grab your ladder and go, versus dragging it in and out of the back of your vehicle. It's so convenient when you’re backing up to the house and can just unload your ladder right there. I’ve had a version of the rack caddy on all my vehicles since 2003 and have gotten to the point where I can’t work without it.
